Town of Slaughterville, Oklahoma (pop 4,359) is accepting applications for the position of Town Administrator. Staff includes 5 full time employees, and a $750,000 budget. Seeking applicants with proven record of success in Municipal Administration. Ideal candidate shall have a college degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or closely related field or work experience, and minimum 5 years progressive management experience in municipal government. Previous experience in budget planning, audit oversite, planning and zoning, capital improvement planning, grant writing, federal regulation compliance or economic development initiatives are a plus. Position reports directly to the Board of Trustees and is accountable for the effective management of all Town departments. Candidates must have demonstrated effective leadership skills, high ethical standards, strong written and verbal communication skills, computer literate, and be able to relate to diverse constituencies. Starting at $50K, negotiable, with additional benefits, commensurate with experience and qualifications. October 12, 2021 a Special Election has been called to grant a franchise agreement to Oklahoma Electric Cooperative (OEC). The agreement remains at the three percent (3%) as from the previous 25 years.
